Serralada de la Marina - Iberian Town

and Gothic Monastery
 

This is an outing within the Barcelona comarca. We start in Santa Coloma de Gramanet where the route takes us to the mountains around Barcelona by the sea. We reached the base of the mountains by metro. We visit the ruins of an Iberian town from where we enjoy a spectacular view of Barcelona and Maresma. During the descent we stopped at a dolmen and at the Gothic monastery where Columbus visited the Catholic Monarchs. We finish the walk in the city of Santa Coloma where we will have an aperitif. Then we return to the center of Barcelona by metro.


What to bring: Mountain shoes, water and snack (fruit, sandwich, nuts, etc.)
Level: Easy -there is a steep but short climb at the beginning of the route
Duration: 3 to 4 hours
Price: € 10 per person. Small groups of 6 people
Meeting point: 10:30 am at the exit of the Singerlin metro stop. Line 9 north
Notes: price includes organization and hiking guide. Does not include the appetizer or entrance to the monastery - if it is open.
