Route of the fountain in Collserola and Vil.la Joana

There are always corners to discover in Collserola. The route that we propose takes us along track paths and small paths in the heart of the forest. We will see numerous fountains of various characteristics and state of conservation. Some of treated drinking water, such as the sources of the Budellera.
We will stop for a coffee and visit Vil.la Joana, an old farmhouse built at the end of the 19th century and the last house where the poet Jacinto Verdaguer lived. Currently, Vil.la Joana houses the museum dedicated to the poet and his work. The visit is about 30m and free.
We will go through the Vallvidrera reservoir and learn about its past. If we are lucky we will see the pippin frog, a native species of the area. We will also stop at the Grott Mine in whose tunnels an electric train used to connect Sarria and Collserola for a while.

Before taking the train back to the city we will go to a typical restaurant in the area to have an aperitif.
This is an easy outing, perfect for picking up the pace after the holidays.
