Hiking and Culture on the Costa Brava: Palafrugell - Cala de Castell

This trail through the Baix Empordà region takes us from the mountains to the sea, crossing a rural area and approaching the magnificent beaches and coves of the Costa Brava. The route is linear, flat, and downhill. A total of 7 km is easy to walk in pleasant company, along dirt paths, fields, and the rich natural beauty characteristic of Mediterranean areas.

We'll stop halfway for a snack and recharge. Near the coast, we'll discover "Barraca de Dalí," a small hut that Josep Mª Sert dedicated to his friend Dalí.
We'll also see "Mas Juny," a fortified building considered of national cultural interest, and we'll visit the Iberian settlement of Castell, Iron Age ruins right on the beach.
