Hiking through Montgat Tiana to the
Hermitage of l´Alegria
 

Nice hiking route in the Maresme, a step away from Barcelona.

We start in Montgat and go through the town to Tiana by local bus – a short 10 minute ride that brings us close to the old town of Tiana. payesWe will walk through the town hall and enter the Garden of Lola Anglada, a famous writer of children's stories and adoptive daughter of this municipality. We will see the curious corner of Pere Salarich, with its tiles and decorative stones. From there we will take typical tracks of the Sierra del Litoral, surrounded by black pine and vineyards.

We will see the fountain and sinks of Can Comas and we will arrive at the Hermitage of L'Alegria, former parish of Tiana documented from the year 1100 and later restored.
Returning to the town we will have beautiful views of the Maresme, with its towns, the sea and pine forests. This landscape is especially impressive for having the city of Barcelona in the background.
