Hiking in Manlleu along the river Ter

Located in the Osona region and just one hour from Barcelona we find Manlleu, a town next to the Ter river that had its splendor during the 19th century with the textile industry.
The hiking trail is circular with an easy level. A nice walk with the river Ter on one side and a beautiful view of the snowy Pyrenees in the distance. Along the route we found different wells and locks - in disuse - that served to control the water level that reached an important factory where they made electricity. We will also see a very well preserved dam that was used to bring water to the Manlleu industries. All these elements remind us of the importance of the river in the life of this town. The typical vegetation of the riverside forests, with its poplars, etc. gives autumn color to the itinerary.
