Castelldefels and Sierra del Garraf
Beautiful hiking route in Castelldefels and the Sierra del Garraf that offers us a very varied route.
We will start in the aiguamolls, the pond of l'Olla del Rei and the path of the lagoon with fauna and typical vegetation of wetlands.
We will pass through a section of the Olympic canal until we enter Castelldefels town where we will stop for a coffee before reaching the forest area of the Garraf massif.
There we will observe endemic plants and trees such as white pine, thyme, fennel and other aromatic plants that perfume the route of reddish trails, typical of the limestone rocks of the area.
We will go up to Turo del Gall and pass by the Can Gantxo farmhouse and its small pine forest where we will eat.
The route is circular and on the return section - with beautiful views of the sea - we will take the opportunity to see the castle of Castelldefels and the park that surrounds it up close. Before finishing the route we can visit the Church of Santa Maria and enjoy the atmosphere of bars and terraces in the most central area of the town.
